Abstract
While considerable time and effort has been spent discussing the systemic impacts of funds flowing into and out of various hedge fund strategies, few examples have been given as to the implications of various governmental or financial intermediaries' actions to lessen exposure to possible hedge fund losses. In this article, the possible impact of reduced leverage and capital availability are discussed in terms of their impact on the hedge fund industry in general and mortgage derivatives in particular.
