In an article in the previous issue, the actual performance of survivor and non-survivor samples was analyzed. The empirical evidence suggests that survival is associated with performance, but that performance is not necessarily associated with survival. As a result, ignoring survival issues in the selection of managed futures programs may result in reduced performance. In this follow-up article, the actual models of survival potential are discussed and presented.
